ATLANTA, Ga. – Purity Kibet (Benedict) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Female Runner of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.

Purity Kibet led the Lady Tigers by finishing fourth overall with a time of 19:27 over the 5K course. The Benedict College women's cross country team finished eighth out of 13 teams at the Newberry Invitational on Saturday.
