WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Benedict College men's track and field team competed at the JDL Early Bird Invitational this weekend. Yassmine Chambers finished third in the shot put with a college best of 12.36 meters (40 feet 6.75 inches) and eighth in the weight throw with 11.59m (38 feet 0.25inches).
In the triple jump, Jada David jumped an indoor personal best of 11.77 meters (38 feet 7.5 inches) winning the event and placing her sixth on the NCAA Div II provisional list.Â
Elaine Robinson finished fourth with a personal best jump of 11.19 meters (36 feet 8.5 inches).
Kassie Jordan (1:00.24), Kanesha Moses (1:00.32), and Torrian Noad (1:00.52) finished fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, in the women's 400 meters.
Kaciann Cowan finished seventh in the 60 meters hurdles with a personal best of 9.17.
Megan Thompson finished second in the 800 meters with a 2:21.28.
Floma Okumu finished eighth in the 1000 meters.
Jane Kiborus takes second in the 5000 meters
Benedict's women's 4x400-meter relay team of Kassie Jordan, Jada David, Torrian Noad, and Kanesha Moses won with a time of 4:01.76.
