ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Benedict College men's basketball team will be the No. 2 seed in the SIAC Tournament, and will play at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
The Tigers went 20-6 overall and 14-3 in SIAC play to earn the East Division No. 2 seed and will earn a bye until the quarterfinals.
Benedict will face either LeMoyne-Owen, the third seed from the West Division, or the winner between Clark Atlanta, the No. 6 seed from the East and Central State, the No. 7 seed from the West. Clark Atlanta and Central State will play at 10 a.m. on Monday in the tournament's first contest. The winner will face LeMoyne-Owen at noon on Tuesday.
The winner of the quarterfinal contest will advance to a men's semifinal contest at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The men's championship game is set for 8 p.m. on Saturday.
All games will be played at the Rock Hill Indoor Athletic Complex in Rock Hill, S.C. Tickets are $10 per day for a single-day ticket for Monday through Friday. Tickets for Saturday's championship day are $20. A weekly tournament pass is $75.
