NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Benedict College women's indoor track and field team competed in three events and won two at the Christopher Newport Qualifier and Combined Events meet in their final indoor meet before the national championships.
 
Freshman Torianne Noad won the 400-meter race with a time of 58.92.
 
Benedict's 4x400-meter relay team of Kassie Jordan, Noad, Megan Thompson and Kanesha Moses won with a time of 3:59.21
 
The Lady Tigers full team will be back in action on Saturday at the Savannah State Relays.
