CHARLOTTE -- The Benedict College women's outdoor track and field team opened up the outdoor portion of their schedule over the weekend at the Charlotte 49er Invitational at the University of Charlotte, setting several personal records.

Torianne Noad set her personal record in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.67 to finish third overall.
Kanesha Moses was fifth in the event with a time of 57.96.
Kaciann Cowan set a personal record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.27.
Shantel Williams ran a 12.45 in the event as well.

In the 800
-meter run,
Cavel Barnett had a personal record, running 2:29.25, and
Janae Johnson 2:56.36.
Megan Thompson ran a 2:22.74.
Jada David had a personal best in both the long jump with a jump of 5.0 meters (16 feet, 5 inches), and triple jump with a mark of 11.36 meters (37 feet, 3 ¼ inches).

In the hammer throw, both
Paris Stanton (34.62 meters, 113 feet, 7 inches) and
Daneika Williamson (30.68 meters, 100 feet, 8 inches) threw personal records.
Yassmine Chambers set a personal record in both the hammer throw (32.45 meters, 106 feet, 5 inches), and the discus (32.05 meters, 105 feet, 2 inches).
The Tigers are back in action on the track this Friday and Saturday at the Weems Baskin Invitational at the University of South Carolina and Cregger Track.
