ATLANTA, Ga. – The Benedict College men's track & field team dominated the 2023 Cricket SIAC Men's Track Championship from start to finish and captured their third straight championship on Saturday at Morehouse College's Edwin Moses Track.
Benedict scored 215.5 total points, while Morehouse was second with 184.5 points. Albany State was third with 121 points.

Danny Brooks was named the SIAC men's track Coach of the Year.
Donald Kibet received the men's Cleve Abbott Award, presented to the top overall point scorer.
Rajaun Ricketts was named the men's Outstanding Field Performer of the Year.
On Saturday, Kibet won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:59.3, beating the second-place runner by more than 15 seconds.
Nelson Kipkemboi was third with a time of 15:52.39.
Ryusei Takahashi was eighth.
Kibet finished fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:09.02, while Kipkemboi was fifth.

Quincy Harris won the 4x400-meter relay race with a time of 3:13.54.
In the high jump, Benedict's men's volleyball standout
Ras Jesse Delancy won the event by jumping 2.10 meters (6 feet, 10 ¾ inches).
Jeremiah Hall-Jones was sixth.
Kevin Francis was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.61. Francis was second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.51.
In the 400-meter run, Paul and Jones were neck-and-neck. Paul finished second with a time of 47.656, and Jones was third with a time of 47.658.
Makel Bridges was sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.05, and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22:01.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Shun Taylor,
Makel Bridges,
Kelvin Tillman and Ricketts finished fifth with a time of 41.92.
Jacob Darby finished seventh in the javelin throw.
