ATLANTA—The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announces the pairings for the 2012 SIAC Baseball Championship, which will be hosted in Ozark, AL at Historic Eagle Stadium on Thursday, April 26th through Sunday, April 29th.
Stillman College enters this year's eight-team double-elimination tournament as #1 seed in the west after finishing with a 21-0 record in the SIAC, 24-16 overall. The Tigers will face Benedict College, the #4 seed in the east, in the first round on Thursday at 3 p.m.
Claflin University comes into the tournament as the #1 seed in the east after a 16-4 record in the SIAC, 24-16 overall. The Panthers will take on Tuskegee University, the #4 seed in the west, in the first round on Thursday at 9 a.m.
Other first round games on Thursday include #2W Miles vs. #3E Albany State at 12 p.m. and #2E Paine vs. #3W Kentucky State at 6 p.m.
