Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, S.C. – Albany State University hit six home runs on the day to sweep Benedict College in a softball doubleheader on Saturday.

Albany State hit three home runs in the first game to take a 7-1 victory. The Lady Golden Rams hit three more in the second game, including two by Domonique Bryant, to take a 17-0 victory. Bryant had three home runs and drove in seven runs on the day.

Benedict saw its losing streak extend to 14 games as the Lady Tigers fell to 8-27 overall and 6-18 in the SIAC.

Benedict struggled offensively, getting four hits in the first game and four in the second. Benedict scored its only run on the day in the first inning of the first game, when Deandra Trottie doubled, scoring Victoria Bratton.

Benedict is home on Thursday to face Paine at 4 p.m. at King Park.
