Box Score DUE WEST, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers saw a 4-2 lead disappear as Erskine went on to take an 18-4 victory on Tuesday.

After Erskine scored a run in the first inning, the Tigers put three runs across the plate in the second inning. McCartha Thompson had a solo homer. Andre Collum walked and Lashante Grimes followed with a single. Collum came home on a groundout by Robert Jones, and Grimes scored on a single by Keith Booker. Erskine scored on a solo homer in the bottom of the second, and a solo homer by Daniel Young in the third gave the Tigers a 4-2 lead.

The Flying Fleet, now 5-1, scored three runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead, then added four runs in the fourth, seven runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

The Tigers fell to 0-7 on the season.

Benedict returns home for a three-game series against Nova Southeastern, Friday's single game will start at 2 p.m., with a doubleheader scheduled to start at noon on Saturday.
