COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced that today's baseball tournament contest between Benedict College and Tuskegee University will be played at Polo Road Park (730 Polo Road), starting at noon.
Saturday's rain forced tournament officials to do extensive work on the field at Capital City Stadium Sunday morning. The game between Claflin and Miles, originally scheduled to start at 9 a.m., started at 10:35 a.m.
After Benedict and Tuskegee play, the tournament will get back on schedule at Capital City Stadium with a 3 p.m. winner's bracket game between Albany State and Stillman. The winners from the two loser bracket games – Claflin vs. Miles and Benedict vs. Tuskegee – will play at 6 p.m. at Capital City Stadium.
The SIAC softball tournament is also being played at Polo Road Park with the championship game scheduled for 1 p.m. between Kentucky State and the winner of Sunday morning's game between Stillman and Tuskegee.
