ATLANTA -- The Benedict College softball team is seeded fourth from the East Division and will face Miles College in the first round of the SIAC Softball Tournament.

The Lady Tigers, 24-22 overall and 10-10 in the SIAC, will take on Miles, the top seed from the West Division. Miles is 14-26 overall and 13-4 in the SIAC, at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Diamond Lakes Regional Park in Hephzibah, Ga. Benedict and Miles were scheduled to face each other at the SIAC Crossover Tournament, but their game was rained out.

The winner of Thursday's game will play the winner between Albany State, the second seed from the East, and Lane, the third seed from the West, at noon on Friday. The loser will drop to the loser's bracket and face the loser between Albany State and Lane at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday.
