COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Benedict College head softball coach Loraine Dunbar has announced her incoming signing class, with 11 new players.

"This class is buying into the Benedict softball program vision. That is the most impressive thing that I like about this class," said Benedict head coach Loraine Dunbar. "They are not only confident in their abilities, but they believe in our program's vision, what Benedict College stands for, what we are building, and the process of what it is that is going to take to build a championship team. They understand that they are going to be a big part of that. There is work to be done. Even though we have had success this past 2021 season, and it is great that our team is ranked as number one in Division II for stolen bases per game, we know that we are not finished. We are not where we need to be. This class kind of has that mindset that they understand what we are trying to build."
