CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Benedict College men's cross country team opened the 2021 season with a fifth-place finish in the CSU Buccaneer Invite.
Freshman
Nelson Kipkemboi finished 8
th with a time of 19:58 over the 6K course in his collegiate debut.
Titus Korir finished 11th with a time of 20:07.
Ryusei Takahashi finished 35th (22:10).
Dennis Kiprono finished 44th (22:52),
Japheth Kipruto finished 45th (23:18),
Thomas Heilman finished 46th (23:23),
Shemar Hylton finished 48th (23:34), and
Devonta Newbold finished 50th (23:38).
The Tigers will be back in action on Sept. 18 at the Winthrop / adidas Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.
