Donald Kibet dominated the competition at the Newberry Invitational, winning the 8K meet with a blistering time of 24:43.50.
The Tigers finished fifth out of 13 men's teams.
Nelson Kipkemboi also had a strong showing, finishing fifth overall with a season-best time of 26:10.40.
Ryusei Takahashi finished 42nd with a time of 29:00.03.
Sadiki Marsh was 46
th with a time of 29:20, while
Javel Best finished 58th with a time of 30:13.
Matthew Paul finished 68th with a time of 31:20.
Benedict will compete in the Bruins XC Invitational, hosted by Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., next Saturday in their final tune-up for the 2022 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Ga. On November 4.
