Tigers Compete At East Coast Relays

JACSONVILLE, Fla. – Several members of the Benedict College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the East Coast Relays, with the goal to try and improve their national rankings heading into next week's selections to the national championship meet.
 
Jacobie Sims finished seventh in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 52.42.
 
Benedict's 4x100-meter relay team (David Smith, Terrel Alexander, Javel Best, Darian Clarke) finished fourth with a time of 41.49.
 
Clarke finished eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.43.
 
Zack Washington finished seventh in the long jump with a jump of 7.33 meters (24 feet, ¾ inches).
 
Jada David finished eighth in the women's triple jump with a jump of 12.21 meters (40 feet, ¾ inches).
