INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA has announced its statistical champions for the 2025 baseball season, and Benedict College has picked up four awards.
 
The Benedict baseball team led all of NCAA Division II in runs scored per game. The Tigers scored 472 runs over 42 games for an average of 11.2 runs per game, topping Regis College (Colo.), which scored 560 runs over 51 games for an average of 11.0 runs per game.
 
Benedict scored a season-high 31 runs against Claflin, and scored 20 or more runs in eight games.
 
Also, Juan Guardado was the 2025 statistical champion in both on-base percentage and base on balls per game. Guardado had a .628 on-base percentage, easily topping Elijah Pinckney from Morehouse, who was second with a .599 on-base percentage. On 112 at-bats, Guardado recorded 46 hits, 51 walks, was hit by pitch 16 times and had one sacrifice fly. He averaged 1.34 base on balls per game, easily topping Pinckney from Morehouse again, who averaged 1.28.
 
Also named stat champion was Isaiah Canty, who led the nation in runs scored per game. Canty scored 69 runs over 42 games for a 1.64 runs per game average. That topped Paul Schoenfeld from Colorado Mesa with 1.59 runs scored per game.
 
Winning national statistical championships is nothing new for the Benedict baseball program. The Tigers have won the stolen bases per game statistical category for 11 of the past 14 years, and have won several individual statistical championships in stolen bases per game during that span.
 
Benedict went 24-18 during the 2025 season. The Tigers will open the 2026 season on Saturday, Feb. 14 with a doubleheader against Spring Hill College.
