ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, April 21, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Ty Grover (Albany State) and
Lefrederick Wooten (Benedict) were recognized.

Wooten threw a nine-inning complete game in Game 1 of their SIAC series against Tuskegee, throwing a one-hitter. Wooten allowed one hit - a ninth-inning solo home run - while walking just two and striking out eight. He threw 99 pitches and faced 32 batters - five more than the minimum. He improved his record to 8-1 and lowered his ERA to 5.88.
