LAKELAND, Fla. – Benedict College freshman sensation
Donald Kibet qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Championship with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA South Region Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Holloway Park.
Kibet ran the 10K course in a personal best time of 30:56.5 to earn All-Region honors.
The National Championship will be Dec. 2 at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Wash.
Sophomore
Nelson Kipkemboi also competed in the South Region Championship, and also ran a personal best time of 32:45.1, finishing 41
st overall.
