Hall of Fame
Albert Reid was a scholar-athlete during his college days at Benedict from 1949 to 1953. He lettered in football and trac, performed with the drama club and choir, served as class president and graduated magna cum laude.
Reid taugh in Columbia public schools and saw duty with the U.S. Army before enrolling at Howard University for gradate studies and at Meharry Medical College, where he earned the M. D. degree.
Dr. Read has a long history of support and loyalty to Benedict. He was elected president of the Benedict College National Alumni Association in 1988.Â
